93rd Annual PGA of America Meeting report - Having returned from our Annual Meeting in New Orleans, LA, I am happy to report back to our members with updates from the meeting.

| SENIOR PGA PROFESSIONAL NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP |

The 2009 Senior PGA Professsional National Championship took place October 29th - November 1st at PGA Golf Club in Port Saint Lucie, Florida. Section member Bill Israelson of the Vintage GC was the only Section member to survive the 36-hole cut and went on to finish tied for 27th at 5-under par 283. By finishing in the top 35, Israelson qualifies for the 2010 Senior PGA Championship being played at Colorado Golf Club in Colorado.

MCGLADREY TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
The 2009 National McGladrey Team Championship took place October 26th - 28th at Pinehurst Resort in Pinehurst, North Carolina. The Minnesota Section PGA was represented by the team from Hastings Country Club with PGA Professional Brad Schmierer and amateurs Jesse Polk, Jeff Ferron, and Mike Polk. Hastings CC finished the 54-hole event tied for 29th at 15-under par 417 in the modified best ball format. The team from Whispering Lakes GC representing the Southern California PGA Section recorded a tournament record 65-under par 367 to win the Championship. 2009 HALL OF FAME INDUCTEES
June 24, 2009 (Minneapolis) – The Minnesota Section PGA and the Minnesota Golf Association (MGA) have selected six inductees for the Minnesota Golf Hall of Fame in 2009. They are:
Don Berry, Nancy (Harris) Blanchard, John Cook, Bill Israelson, Mike Schultz and Dick Tollette
The group will be inducted into the Hall of Fame at Minnesota Section PGA and MGA events throughout the remainder of the year. continued
