2003 SENIOR SERIES
The intent of the Minnesota PGA Senior Series, established in 2003, is to provide golfers of all abilities, male and female, amateur and professional, who are at least fifty years old with an opportunity to participate in professionally administrated events at the best facilities in Minnesota.
The Membership must be completed first or the system will not allow you to register for the individual events below.

1 - Players entering both events at Izatys Golf & Yacht Club will be eligible for prizes based on results from the 36-hole competition. Players entering both events at Izatys will receive a $25 dollar discount.
2 - This event is open to any player over 50 by Tuesday, July 1st. Players are not required to be member of the Senior Series. The title of Twin Cities Senior Champion will be awarded to the highest finishing amateur in the field.
3 - The Minnesota PGA Senior Series Championship field will be filled by invitation. All members of the Minnesota PGA Senior Series will be notified of the qualification criteria prior to the start of events in 2003. The Championship is a limited field event.
POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
ELIGIBILITY
The Minnesota PGA Senior Series is open to all amateur and professional players age fifty (50) and older. Players must be fifty (50) as of the tournament start date for the event(s) they choose to enter. All players entering Minnesota PGA Senior Series events must complete the membership application and remit the appropriate fee to the Minnesota Section PGA in order to compete unless otherwise noted on the Tournament entry form. Membership is not required to participate in the Twin Cities Senior Championship.
MEMBERSHIP & EVENT FIELDS
The 2003 Senior Series will be limited to the first 200 returned membership applications. The membership fee is $35. Each event, excluding the Championship, will be limited to the first 120 paid entries.
PAYMENT OF FEES
Players may register as members and enter events by mail, fax (credit card payment only), and at www.minnesotapga.com on the World Wide Web. Entries are considered valid when the appropriate payment and entry forms are included. All payment for membership and event entries must accompany the entry form. The Minnesota Section PGA will reimburse each host facility for green fee/cart fee expenses as well as any additional items included in the event price. All payments will be processed immediately. Entries may be rejected if the credit card transaction is not approved or the check is returned by the financial institution for insufficient funds. All fees incurred to the Minnesota Section PGA by the registrant as a result of a returned check will be the responsibility of the registrant.
WEB REGISTRATION
Players utilizing web registration must have the following: an eight-digit customer identification number or a social security number on file with the Minnesota Section PGA. Customer identification numbers will be provided to new members via mail or e-mail after their registration has been processed. ENTRY CONFIRMATION
All entry confirmations will be available on the internet at www.minnesotapga.com under the confirmed entries link.
EVENT CANCELLATION
In the event an event is cancelled due to weather or other circumstances, every effort will be made to reschedule. If an event cannot be rescheduled, all entry fees will be refunded to the players registered. The following exception to this policy applies to the Twin Cities Senior Championship: all entry fees less a charity donation made to the Fairway Foundation of $15 per entry will be refunded.
CANCELLATION POLICIES
Players may cancel membership or event registration by calling the Minnesota Section PGA office during business hours, e-mailing cgundberg@pgahq.com or faxing a withdrawal notification to the Minnesota Section PGA. Full refunds of the Minnesota PGA Senior Series Membership fee will be granted anytime prior to a player participating in his/her first event. Full refunds will be given for any event if the cancellation notice is received prior to the close of entries for the event. Cancellations received after the close of entries but before the day prior to an event will be subject to a $20.00 processing fee. No refunds will be given for cancellation notices received during the 24 hours preceding the event. Players canceling after the entry deadline for health reasons may provide documentation to the Minnesota Section PGA in order to waive the processing fee. All refunds will be issued after the completion of the 2003 Minnesota PGA Senior Series event schedule.
RULES OF PLAY
The 2002-03 USGA Rules of Golf and its decisions govern play. Any supplementary Rules of Play information will be provided to each contestant at the Tournament site.
EVENT FORMAT
All events on the 2003 Minnesota PGA Senior Series schedule will be individual stroke play events. Players will be entered in both gross and net divisions for each event. Prizes will also be awarded in Super Seniors division for those players age 60 and older. All tournament prizes are based on a player’s best finish.
AWARDS & PRIZES
Players may earn merchandise credit in the golf shop at each host facility based on their best finish in the gross or net division. Purse distribution for the gross and net division at each event will be based on the playing ability of the field registered. Purse information will be distributed during player registration at each event. Fifteen dollars ($15) from each entry fee will be allocated to the event purse.
EVENT RESULTS
Event results will be available at the Tournament site after all scorecards have been received and processed. Amateur credit redeemable in the host facility golf shop will be available the same day. Gift certificates for unused credit will be mailed. All policies enforced by the club or golf professional at the host site pertaining to golf shop credit shall apply. Event results will be available at www.minnesotapga.com within 24 hours of event completion.
SENIOR SERIES CHAMPIONSHIP
The Minnesota PGA Senior Series Championship will be conducted in September at Northland CC. Players will be invited to participate in this 36-hole event based on their finish in Senior Series events. Qualification criteria will be published and distributed at each event.
