Section President Paul Kelley thanked event sponsor Callaway Golf and John Heitala, Ryan Archer and Pat Scott. Scott provided videos and discussed Callaway's support of the Section, including the Fall Meeting.
Meeting Minutes
Paul Kelley asked for a motion to waive the reading of the 2010 Annual Membership Meeting minutes. Motion seconded and passed.
Section Elections - conducted by Jeff Drimel
Northern Minnesota - Craig Thomsen (2-year term)
Craig Thomsen nominated, seconded and elected by acclamation.
Southern Minnesota - Michael Zinni (1-year term)
Michael Zinni nominated, seconded and elected by acclamation.
Metropolitan Director - Keith Kalny (2-year term)
Keith Kalny nominated, seconded and elected by acclamation.
At Large Director Position - Lori Money (2-year term)
At Large Director Position - Todd Kueppers (2-year term)
Money, Kueppers, Mark Fitzenberger, Matt Vandelac and Jay Meyerhoff nominated and seconded. Money and Kueppers elected.

Vice-President - Peter Kurvers
Reported on the financial status of the Minnesota PGA. Discussed the status of Foundation, Section investments, sponsorships, and Foundation.
President - Paul Kelley
Provided an update from PGA of America District Director Jeff Smith, who was in attendance at the Iowa Section Meeting. Thanked all committee chairs, committee members and staff
for their hard work throughout the year. Provided an update from our Section Golf Card provider and discussed the tough challenges facilities faced this year with weather and the economy.
Acknowledged the four PGA Members who are retiring this year: Phil Reith, Dick Tollette, Allen Lucht and Paul Baldus.
Executive Director - Jon Tollette
Tollette discussed the Section Office and Minnesota Golf Hall of Fame. Discussed Section Foundation status and Valspar sponsorship of junior golf. Thanked all facilities for
their efforts in supporting, junior golf program and tournament program. Presented Employment Consultant report for Bruce Lubach, who was unable to attendance because of the Wisconsin
PGA Fall Meeting. Thanked Board of Directors, committees and staff for their support.
PGA of America Reports
Incoming District Director Chris Thomsen from the Nebraska Section introduced himself to the Section Membership and noted that he looks forward to representing the Section for the next three years.
Nicole Molineux provided an update on PGA Member benefits.
Darrell Crall, Senior Director of Golf 2.0 provided an update on the National initiative to increase golfers to 40 million by 2020. (

Old Business
George Reynolds posed a question to the membership about youth sports opportunities and how are we the PGA going to get kids into the lifetime sport that is golf.
Open Forum
John Young asked about the Section's stance on golf discounting. Secretary Steve Fessler provided feedback and comments on the topic.
Greg Schulze asked a question about the High School Golf and possibility of having season in Fall instead of Spring. Discussion followed on the topic including comments from
George Reynolds, Barry Wallin, Bruce Anderson and Mark Wittig.
Doug Hoffmann provided an update on the Minnesota Golf Association, thanked the membership for hosting MGA events and discussed new rules changes for 2012.
Mark Wittig asked about an update on the Section's mentor program. Paul Kelley provided update on program.
Motion was made to adjourn. Seconded. Meeting adjourned.

PGA Member David Tentis was inducted into the Minnesota Golf Hall of Fame.
