The applications for 2019 Minnesota Golf Hall of Fame and George Waters Memorial Grants are both open now.
The Minnesota Golf Hall of Fame Criteria includes that individuals must be forty (40) years of age, a resident of the Minnesota for at least ten (10) years and they should have outstanding accomplishments in golf competitions, significant contributions to the game of golf, and/or significant accomplishments in golf that cannot be anticipated. Outstanding contributions to the game of golf can be as a PGA Golf Professional, Golf Course Superintendent, Facility Manager, or Golf Administrator. Other outstanding contributions in the areas of junior golf or public relations may be considered as well.
The George Waters Memorial Grant Program is established to help worthy PGA Professionals and other golf related Player Development or Golf in School programs further their goals in player development with an emphasis on junior golf, disabled golfers or Special Olympics athletes.Those interested in being considered for the George Waters Memorial Grant need to submit a grant application to the Minnesota PGA Foundation. An application may be submitted by a 501(c)(3) Organization, or organization using Minnesota PGA members to conduct instruction. All programs eligible for grants must be in existence for a minimum of one year to be eligible for a grant.
