Message from the President
Dakota Chapter Mission Statement:
To provide education, tournaments, awards and business related activities to the members of the Dakota’s Chapter of the Minnesota Section PGA.
Dakota Chapter and Minnesota Section PGA Members,
I would like to start by thanking everyone for your support this spring. As you know, this spring has been very difficult for some of our chapter members
due to flooding of the Red River. Your support during this time has been helpful to all involved. Secondly, I would like to
thank all of our PGA members and apprentices who helped with sandbagging this spring. Your support of fellow PGA members and the community show why
we are all part of a great association.
As the President of the Chapter I plan on operating the chapter just as we have in the past. We were
able to coordinate spring educations and our annual spring meeting. Prior to the flooding, Leo Marchel, hosted
the UND Golf Seminar in early March. Again, it was a success with over 100 students and 12 to 15 PGA professionals in
attendance. We plan on continuing to host and promote our summer tournament pro-am schedule along with our season ending Chapter Championship and fall
pro-pro events. Finally, the year would not be complete without our Fall Merchandise Show, Awards and Fall Meeting.
I look forward to this being a great summer. If anyone has any questions or concerns please feel free to contact
