Past Champion Jeff Sorenson of Columbia Learning Center made birdie on the second play-off hole to defeat Don Berry of Edinburgh USA and
capture the 2010 Minnesota PGA Section Professional Championship title at the Wilderness at Fortune Bay Resort in Tower, MN. Both players finished the
event at 7-under par 137 and parred the first play-off hole (Hole #18) before Sorenson hit his third shot to less than a foot on the
second play-off hole (Hole #1). After Berry missed his birdie attempt Sorenson tapped in for his third title in five years.
Tied for third at 4-under par 140 were David Tentis and Brent Snyder of Troy Burne Golf Club. The low eight professionals qualify for the 2011 PGA
Professional National Championship being held next June at Hershey Country Club in Hershey, PA. Joining Sorenson, Berry, Tentis and Snyder are
Bill Israelson of Vintage Golf Club (1-under par 143), Dale Jones of Mendakota Country Club (even-par 144), Mike Barge of Hazeltine National Golf
Club (1-over par 145), and Scott McDonald of Windsong Farm Golf Club (1-over par 145).
The Minnesota PGA Section Professional Championship is presented by Titleist, Foot-Joy, Club Car, Superior Golf Cars, PGA Tour and
