Criteria considered for selection to the Minnesota Golf Hall of Fame includes that individuals must be forty (40) years of age, a resident of the Minnesota for at least ten (10) years and they should have outstanding accomplishments in golf competitions, significant contributions to the game of golf, and/or significant accomplishments in golf that cannot be anticipated. Outstanding contributions to the game of golf can be as a PGA Golf Professional, Golf Course Superintendent, Facility Manager, or Golf Administrator. Other outstanding contributions in the areas of junior golf or public relations may be considered as well.
Guidelines to use for competition consideration should include that the individual has won at least three State Championships (not to include High School or Junior titles), or one National Championship or International Championship
