 2007 MINNESOTA GOLF OPENER |
PLAY GOLF MINNESOTA/DAKOTAS WEEK A SUCCESS
The inaugural Play Golf Minnesota/Dakotas week wrapped up Sunday, April 29th and initial feedback is that the week was successful. Thank you to
the over 50 facilities within the Section participated in activities during the week. The activities began with the Governor of Minnesota
proclaiming the week of April 23-29, 2007 "Play Golf Minnesota Week" on his radio show the Friday preceding and also the mayors of Fargo, ND and
Moorhead, MN proclaiming the week Play Golf Fargo week and Play Golf Moorhead week respectively.
Several events were covered by local media
during the week and Play Golf America Days held at Maddens Resort in Brainerd, MN, Somerby Golf Club in Byron, MN, Village Green Golf Course
in Moorhead, MN and Rush Creek Golf Club hosted over 800 visitors on Saturday, April 28th. Special thanks to the Minnesota Golf Association
