MINNESOTA PGA GOLF PRIVILEGES CARD
I wanted to let everyone know that I am your member liaison/representative for the new Minnesota PGA Privileges Card.
My involvement with the card started after 9 holes of golf with Bob Anderson and Bill Taffe of Golf Access, the marketers of the new card. In trying to make the card as successful as possible for the Minnesota Section, they asked a lot of questions. I expressed to them what I felt was important from a PGA Members and course operators perspective.
Many discussions later, I am now doing my part to help with the Sections success of our new partnership with Golf Access and the PGA Privileges Card.
Many of you have asked – “what can I do?”
Head Professionals – put together an attractive offer to promote your facility. Be part of the card that gives back to your section. Give the card away as proximity prizes and tee gifts as other pros have done. At your price of $24.95 the card costs no more than a dozen balls, and is much more original.
Assistants – Contact me for information of how to sell the card and make some winter green. We will be announcing plans to enhance the Assistants Championship/Raffle with a “Big Drive” event. With some great prizes, it’s sure to be a hit. Details at the assistants meeting in the spring.
Instructors – want to drive some lesson income your way? Put an offer together that will get people thinking of you for their next lesson. Get your name on the card and on the website under professional instruction. Who wouldn’t want to grow their client base?
With $40,000 in royalties paid to the section in 2007, the PGA Partners program has shown their level of commitment to us. The goal of ultimately providing $150,000 to the section will be attainable with the support of the Minnesota sections members and assistants.
Whenever you have questions regarding the card, or creative ideas that have worked for you, please email me at timjochim@comcast.net or call me at 612-518-8685.
