MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

The end of August is here...time sure flies!

As many of our junior golfers, and fellow staff members, head back to school, think for a minute how each one of our PGA Professionals affected the life of a young adult over the summer. Whether it was through teaching the game of golf, advising on a personal issue, directing them at work, and most of all guiding them in how to be a better young adult. Maybe it's my age, an age of "reflecting" more and more each day, but I am always reminded of how we, as PGA Professionals, are looked upon in our communities and in the eyes of others.

WE DO make a difference. A difference not only in the game of golf but also as part of the people we come in contact. Keep up the great work!

Section Championship - As many of us get ready to head up north to enjoy some golf, camaraderie and determine our Section Champion, I would like to thank all those facilities, Golf Course Owners, Board of Directors and PGA Professionals, who allowed us to use their courses over the summer. We are privileged to be able to host events on these golf courses and we look forward to playing the Wilderness GC. Playing is still a big part of being a PGA Professional and we wish everyone "Good Luck."

Travel safely, and have a safe Labor Day weekend. Thanks to all those who allow us to enjoy our freedoms especially as summer winds down.
