Board of Directors Nominations

At-Large Director Nominee

Jay Meyerhoff, PGA

It is an honor to be nominated for the At-Large Director Nominee.

Being on the board the past few years we have made some great strides with our section junior program, our community outreach programs, and adding more events to our tournament calendar.

As Chair of the Player Development Committee, we continue to see growth in our PGA Jr leagues and Drive, Chip and Putt participation.  This past year the Bad Pants Open returned to “normal” this year with Special Olympics Athletes playing alongside Minnesota Section PGA professionals in the morning, and in the afternoon our corporate golfers play alongside Minnesota Section PGA Professionals.  This year was our largest year of money raised.   100 Hole For Hope continues to grow and helps support our 9 local PGA Hope Chapters.

As we continue to move forward as a section, it is important that we continue to focus on what has made us successful and continue to look at ways in which we grow.  The leadership that is on the board is tremendous and I look forward to your vote to continue with our strong movement.

Metropolitan Director Nominee

Kellie Catron Hoiness, PGA

My name is Kellie Catron Hoiness and I’m running for Metropolitan Director.  I am currently the Director of Golf at Oak Ridge Country Club and I have been on the Board of Directors for 2 years and also current Chair of the Tournament Committee.  There are two reasons why I’m running – I have a passion for serving my fellow members.  It is very rewarding to be able to give back.  Secondly, I do feel that having female representation on the board of directors is important.  It’s not the sole reason to vote for me, but I’m very proud to represent that segment of the membership.  Thank you for considering me for this important position!

Northern Director Nominee

Jack Wawro, PGA

I’m very excited to be nominated again for Northern Director of the MN PGA.  I have served in this position for one term and sat on the tournament committee as well.  I have lived and worked in northern Minnesota for 20+ golf seasons and think it is very important for our professionals in this part of the state to have a voice at the board level.  I take this responsibility very seriously and would be absolutely thrilled to represent you again.  Thanks for your votes.
