Board of Directors Nominees

T.J. Boulanger, PGA - At-Large Director

It is an honor to be nominated to the At-Large Director position on the Minnesota Section Board. In three seasons in the Minnesota Section, I've come to appreciate seeing the trajectory that our section is headed. The leadership in place and those that have come before have done a fantastic job in creating a great culture internally, and positioning the section in a favorable light externally.

I have experience holding leadership positions at the University of Nebraska, in the PGA Golf Management program, and in various community organizations. As I take the next steps in my career I have goals to give my time to organizations like our section in order to move these organizations forward.

Like all of us on the golf course, I plan to find ways to improve our section and leave each hole better than I found it.

Chris Eikenberg, PGA - At-Large Director

Having been a PGA Member since 2009 I consider myself a part of the greatest fraternity of men and women in sports. To be a PGA Member is something that I hold very close to my heart. Having been in the golf industry since the age of 15 I was fortunate to be mentored by some of what I consider some of the greatest PGA Professionals I have ever met and these men have shaped me into the professional I am today and also showed me the value of being a member of the PGA and giving back to those who help shape the game.

I have many years of experience in the golf industry but also many years as a big part of the PGA. Not only do I try to compete and participate in many section events, I have also been a board member of the PGA before.

While I was in the Southern California PGA for 7 years, I spent 6 of those 7 years as a member of the Desert Chapter Board of Directors. During that time I was the tournament chairmen as well as holding short term roles as secretary, head of Assistants Committee and education. My goal then and now as a board member is giving back to the PGA community as well as being a voice for these aforementioned professionals. Having had so much given back to me in my years in the golf industry I strive to not only mentor other professionals around me but give back in any way that I can. Giving your time and efforts to better the section and PGA for its members is nothing short of what I could imagine I could be doing for the PGA. To be involved in any fashion as either a board member or part of a committee is something that I want to get back to as I have not been as involved since I left the Southern California PGA and spent 3 years in the Southwest Section.

The Minnesota PGA Section once again has that feel of community and ideals that I saw in other sections thus driving my desire to once again be involved in this community. It would be an honor to serve my fellow members and ensure that our section is one of the best in the country.

My resume also includes the following..

Southern California PGA Desert Chapter PGA Assistant Professional of the Year

Southern California PGA Section Assistant Professional of the Year

SCPGA Desert Chapter Board Member (6 years)

SCPGA Desert Chapter Assistants Champion

True Temper/Project X Shaft Council Advisory Board Member

PGA Class A since 2009

Scott McDonald, PGA - Secretary

Five years ago I felt the call to get involved in the Section. In 2015 I started on the tournament committee and served as it's chair for two years(2018-2019). Our big initiatives were to grow participation, expand events, and make our events inclusive and fair.  In 2016, I became the Northern Director on the Board of Directors while at Minnewaska Golf Club. Now at Somerby Golf Club and in my third term on the Board of Directors, currently as an At-Large Director, I enjoy helping grow the game and our Section.

I am running because I believe in the direction we are headed as a section. Our leadership team is strong. As chair of the Junior Golf committee and with a lot of help from Karla Bredlow and her team, we have had one of our most successful years, even with all of this uncertainty. I would love to see this program continue to grow and be considered one of the strongest across all sections. I have been a huge supporter of PGA Reach initiatives: participating in multiple Tapemarks, 100 Holes of Hopes, and continuing to foster partners. Finally, I would like to give back to our section, our associates, and our members. I have gotten to where I am because of a lot help from awesome mentors, board members, and friends. It would be a great honor to serve as your next Secretary.
