PGA REACH MINNESOTA AND TREASURE ISLAND RESORT & CASINO PARTNER TO HOST 4TH ANNUAL 100 HOLES FOR HOPE

COON RAPIDS, Minn. – May 19, 2021 —The Minnesota PGA and its charitable arm, PGA REACH Minnesota, and Treasure Island Resort & Casino in conjunction with the Minnesota Department of Veteran Affairs and Disabled American Veterans of Minnesota (DAV MN) are proud to host the fourth annual 100 Holes for HOPE charity golf tournament on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Mount Frontenac Golf Course in Frontenac, Minnesota.

Since its inception in 2018, 100 Holes for HOPE has generated over $115,000 to support PGA REACH Minnesota and its military program, PGA HOPE. The event involves PGA Professionals, military veterans and other golf enthusiasts in a marathon round of 100 holes. Proceeds are raised through pledges and partners alike. For more information on how to support the cause and donate, please visit 100HolesforHOPE.com.

PGA HOPE is the flagship program under the military pillar of PGA REACH Minnesota. The program is a therapeutic rehabilitation introduction to golf and is open to all veterans with an emphasis on serving those with physical, emotional and PTSD challenges. PGA HOPE is important to us and our community for many reasons. There are currently 19.5 million veterans in the United States, according to the most recent statistics from the US Census. There are over 6 million veterans living with some form of disability. And the unfortunate reality is that 22 of those veterans commit suicide per day in the United States. PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) is one way to give back to those heroes by sharing the game of golf.

In 2020, 46 veterans had the opportunity to participate in PGA HOPE at no cost because of the monies raised through 100 Holes for HOPE. “It’s our duty to help those who have given so much to us and our country. By providing an outlet through golf, and to give back to these heroes, we are excited to continue raising awareness and financial support with 100 Holes for HOPE.  We are always looking for others to step to the plate to help this great cause.” said Jeff Drimel, CEO of the Minnesota PGA/PGA REACH Minnesota.
