Dale Jones has been a class A member of the Minnesota Section for 27 years, yet it took him until this year’s Section PGA Professional Championship at Somerby Golf Club to get his first Section Stroke Play win.

Jones ended up winning wire-to-wire after making a birdie on the first playoff hole needed to break the first place tie between him and Brent Sndyer. Jones shot a 67-73 for a two-round total 140, 4 strokes under par.

The 8 Section Players that will compete in the 2021 National PGA Professional Championship are Dale Jones of Mendakota Country Club, Brent Snyder of Troy Burne Golf Club, Jeff Sorenson of the Minikahda Club, Derek Holmes of PXG Minneapolis, Luke Benoit of Interlachen Country Club, Kris Koretsch of Fargo Country Club, Bill Israelson of Vintage Golf Course, and Eric Rolland of Augsburg College. Israelson and Rolland made the field after a playoff for the last two spots with Don Berry and Grant Shafranski.
