Annual Meeting
Monday, October 26, 2026 | Edina Country ClubJoin us for the Minnesota PGA Section Annual Meeting on Monday, October 26th at Edina Country Club. PGA Members will receive 2 PDR credits per hour of attendance. Virtual attendees will receive half (1/2) credit. Breakfast and Lunch is included in the registration fee. The meeting will be available online via Zoom and a link will be sent out to all registered online attendees closer to the meeting date. The registration fee applies for both virtual and in-person attendees.
Reminder: Fifty-four (54) Total credits are required for a three-year cycle; of which at least 36 must come from any combination of Education, PGA of America Meetings, National Survey submission, Section Mentoring programs, and/or Specified PGA of America Player Engagement Programs.

Board Positions for Election
At the 2026 meeting, the Minnesota PGA board has three seats up for election for two-year terms. The positions of Secretary, Southern Director, and one at-large seat that represent members throughout the Section. To run for a local district seat, candidates must reside and work in the area the board seat represents.
The seats up for election include:
- Secretary, currently held by Tim Vernon
- Southern District, currently held by Matt Hauge;
- At-large seat currently held by Grant Hanson;
- The Dakota Chapter seat currently held by Jason Crisp will be voted on at the Dakota Chapter meeting being held in October.

Secretary Nominees

Why do you want to be Secretary:
I want to be Secretary because I see incredible opportunities in front of the Minnesota Section. Golf is more popular than ever, and I believe we have an opportunity to capitalize on that momentum, benefiting our members and growing the game. We can create new opportunities for junior golfers, build new partnerships, embrace the explosion of golf content, and find better ways to connect our members with one another. There is always more we can do.
I believe in where our Section is going, but I also believe we need people willing to push us there. I am excited about the direction of our Board and staff, and I want to be part of turning good ideas into action. Growth excites me, and I believe we have a great opportunity to make our Section more connected, more relevant and more valuable to our members. I see a Section with strong momentum and even greater opportunity, and I want to help build on that momentum.

Why do you want to be Secretary:
I am honored to have the opportunity to serve as your next Secretary of the Minnesota
Section.
I have been a member of this Section for more than 26 years, beginning my involvement by serving on the Assistant Golf Professionals Board and the Growth of the Game Committee. When my daughter was born, I stepped away from leadership responsibilities to focus on my family and continued to support the Section as a member.
Throughout my career as a PGA Member, I have had the opportunity to work in three distinct areas of the golf industry: an upscale semi-private public facility, a municipal golf operation, and a private club. These experiences have given me a broad perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing our members and the golf industry. I believe that understanding these different perspectives allows me to approach decisions thoughtfully and ensure that the interests of our entire membership are considered.
After 26 years of being involved in, witnessing, and contributing to the growth of this Section, I feel that now is the right time for me to give back in a greater capacity. I want to use my experience and perspective to advocate for our members, listen to their needs, and help ensure that the Minnesota Section continues to grow and succeed.
I would be honored to earn your support as your next Minnesota Section Secretary. I am committed to representing all of our members, working collaboratively with the Board, and serving the Minnesota Section to the best of my ability.
